Sunflower Collective is a London based student collaboration between Sotheby’s Institute and Chelsea college of arts, BA Fine Art Students. The collective was formed to lead a response to the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine. The fundraiser, comprising a live auction, a silent auction and a raffle made by more than 50 of London’s most promising emerging artists, took place in the Chelsea marquee on 27th May 2022. Over £5000 was raised and donated to British-Ukrainian Aid.

The event included printouts from ‘records of war’ - an archive of diary entries, text messages, personal reflections, experimental texts, and whatnot. each copy contains 16 selected texts. ‘records of war’ is a constantly growing project, and you can read updated entries on february24.net.
A library curated by Francisco Miguel and Sofia Marynyak. The collection was a resource that aimed to open the floor to research and dialogue; to share references not only about Ukraine but the broader context of war and oppression in history.
